The Danish Maritime Authority needs your help in order to have all certificates replaced for STCW 2010 certificates in time.

Earlier this year, we urged all seafarers to apply for renewal of their certificates of competency well in advance of the deadline. The ones concerned are those who have been issued with certificates that expire on 31 December 2016.

We are very pleased that such a large number of seafarers have already had their certificates replaced.

Now we need to receive the last applications to be sure that all Danish seafarers are competitive and meet the new requirements by 2017.

We expect an increased workload and a longer period for considering the applications during the remainder of the year due to the many replacements. This means that you will have to apply now if you want to be sure that you have a valid certificate before the start of the new year.
