The first shipload of liquefied natural gas (LNG) arrival to the LNG import terminal in Tornio, Finland, on Sunday November 19, 2017.

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd  (ST Engineering) announced that its US shipyard, VT Halter Marine Inc. (VT Halter Marine) has been awarded a contract by Quality Liquefied Natural Gas Transport, LLC (Q-LNG) to build America’s first offshore Liquefied Natural Gas Articulated Tug and Barge (LNG ATB) unit.

Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui", Head Office: Tokyo, President and CEO: Tatsuo Yasunaga) has entered into an agreement with BW Group ("BW") to form a joint venture ("JV"), and to acquire a 49% stake in the JV to jointly own the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit ("FSRU") BW Integrity.

In November 8, six partners – science institutions and businesses – set up an LNG platform. The platform is aimed at strengthening and developing the LNG market and relevant activities in Lithuania.

TOTE Maritime Alaska, a daughter company of TOTE Inc. recently contracted MAN PrimeServ – MAN Diesel & Turbo’s after-sales division – to convert the ‘North Star’ and ‘Midnight Sun’ to dual-fuel operation on liquefied natural gas (LNG).
