GNS, the maritime technology company, announced that it has been selected by Siam Lucky Marine, a leading Thai shipping company, to supply an integrated navigation solution to nine of its 21 gas carriers.
The deal sees GNS providing its state-of-the-art SEALL touchscreen ECDIS, Voyager planning and navigation management software as well as the ENCs Siam Lucky’s vessels need for safe and compliant navigation - all for a fixed annual fee.
Siam Lucky selected GNS due to the advanced functionality and ease of use of its software and its ability to offer a simple and very cost-effective replacement of the Siam Lucky fleet’s legacy onboard technology.
“We are delighted to be supporting Siam Lucky by providing a suite of tools for safe and compliant digital navigation,” says GNS CEO Paul Stanley. “The ability to deliver a complete solution, combining modern hardware, software, navigation data and data analytics, sets GNS apart and enables us to best meet the individual needs of every customer.”
As part of the deal, Siam Lucky’s onshore management team will also benefit from GNS’s Voyager FLEET INSIGHT service providing real time vessel position as well as enhanced navigation compliance management and port state inspection histories.
Voyager is a complete back-of-bridge navigation planning and execution system, with a range of functionality designed to support smarter navigation. A constantly evolving platform, Voyager has been built from the ground up to improve the use of digital tools onboard ship and help protect against cyber threats.
The SEALL ECDIS is a next-generation electronic navigation tool, featuring a touch screen tablet-style user interface and designed with easy installation and set-up in mind. Its operating system enables faster and easier access to critical navigation information to simplify front of bridge operations.
