Almost 60 representatives from the Greek shipping industry, participating at the Lloyd’s Register Hellenic Technical Committee (HTC) convened on 10th December 2019, to have a closer look on the latest industry developments.
Sulphur switchover, compliant fuels, scrubbers and gas as fuel pathways were at the centre of the discussion, capturing current industry best practices. The HTC members, chaired by Mr Stavros Hatzigrigoris Chairman of MARTECMA, had also the opportunity to exchange views on a range of topics, such as Inventory of Hazardous Materials, Ballast water management treatment systems installations and Ship Energy and Maintenance Management. The meeting concluded inviting HTC members to participate to the established Lloyd’s Register HTC Gas-as-fuel Working Group (HTC-GFWG), aiming to address owners’ concerns around LNG as fuel issues and echo the voice of LR HTC to key industry stakeholders.
