With the 27th Posidonia welcoming the global maritime community back to Athens after four years, focusing on the "hot" issues of energy transition, the green agenda, the post-pandemic landscape and the operation of the supply chain amid geopolitical challenges, the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) could not miss the world's leading shipping event.

The "8th Capital Link Maritime Leaders Summit – Greece”, was held on Monday, June 6, 2022 in-person, at the Four Seasons, Astir Palace Hotel in Athens, with great attendance attracting well over 900+ participants comprising of top level executives, governmental representatives, experts, and journalists from major companies and organizations from the Greek shipping industry as well as from many shipping centers from all over the world who visited Greece for the Posidonia Exhibition.

Bureau Veritas (BV), a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification, has delivered an Approval in Principle (AiP) to Mitsubishi Shipbuilding – part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group – for a spherical cargo tank system for liquefied CO2 (LCO2) carriers.

Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers and Exports – a leading suppliers and exporters association for the international shipping sector signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation (MoU) with SEKPY – Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Material Association – on Tuesday 7 June at the Posidonia Conference and Exhibition in Athens. 

Accelleron, the new face of ABB Turbocharging, and Hoppe Marine, the German provider of maritime measurement solutions, have signed a partnership agreement which will facilitate rapid onboard data collection for Accelleron’s ’s digital solutions used in dedicated engine analysis.

In a joint technical seminar held during the Posidonia trade fair, shipyard Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD), ship service company Hyundai Global Service (HGS), and classification society DNV presented the results of a joint industry project (JIP) on eco-friendly marine solutions that can help shipowners and managers to comply with tightening environmental regulations.

DNV signed two Memorandum of Understanding Agreements (MOUs) with Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Kongsberg Digital (KD).
