MSC published its latest Sustainability Report, providing a rich source of information about the company’s sustainable approach to business during the 2017 period.
MSC is a family company with longstanding values at the core of everything it does. These values inspire its approach to sustainability which is based around the following four strategic pillars:
• Social Inclusion
• Environment
• Health and Safety
• Business Ethics and Protection of Human Rights
“In 2017, MSC successfully maintained its leadership position in the global economy, despite slow trade growth and high operating costs,” Diego Aponte, President & CEO, MSC Group, said in the report. “Achieving such economic performance did not come without challenges at all levels. Yet, we pursued our goals by remaining true to our roots and our core family values, promoting a sustainable business model that goes far beyond a “business as usual” approach.”
As an active participant of the United Nations Global Compact, and supporter of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, MSC is also pleased to highlight the importance of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) inside this report.
