Headway delivered a keynote speech on OceanGuard® LFSS and other Headway’s low carbon solutions at the 2023 Design and Technology Promotion Forum on the second day of Marintec China 2023.
Meanwhile, OceanGuard® FASS has also received the Approval in Principle (AiP) Certificate issued by Rina at booth N1C7A. This is sound proof that Headway has obtained continuous recognition from industry and authoritative institutes in the on-board application of alternative fuels.
The 2023 Design and Technology Promotion Forum, held by SDARI- Shanghai Merchant Ship Design&Research Institute, focuses on the discussion of hot topics in this industry, such as the new ship type technology and the trend of low carbon solutions with leading shipowners and shipyards. Headway was invited as one of the main sponsors. At this event, Zhaorui, the manager of the marine new energy dept. introduced a series of Headway’s low carbon solutions at the strategy of zero-carbon, including the unique advantages of OceanGuard® LFSS and the latest carbon capture technology and R&D developments of carbon cycle eco-system, such as CCUS, methanol synthesis system.
On the same day, Rina awarded the AiP certification to Headway’s Ammonia Fuel Supply system at its booth and this is another authoritative approval for Headway’s FASS after the AiP certification from DNV. The system is a comprehensive solution integrating ammonia fuel containment system, ammonia fuel supply module, BOG treatment system, auxiliary heating/cooling system and nitrogen generation unit and so on. Based on the features of modular design and redundancy structure, Headway can provide tailored ammonia supply solutions for customers according to ship type.
The Marintec China was held from 5th -8th December at Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
