Results of the Cyprus Deputy Minister of Shipping's Participation in the Posidonia 2024

The Deputy Minister of Shipping to the President, Mrs. Marina Hadzimanolis, attended Athens between June 1 and 7, on the occasion of Cyprus' participation in the Posidonia International Maritime Exhibition 2024.


Mrs. Hadzimanolis, in the context of the exhibition, participated in actions and initiatives aimed at the promotion and promotion of Cypriot Shipping, while she visited, accompanied by the Ambassador of Cyprus in Athens, Mr. Stavros Augustidis, the stands of Cypriot companies supporting business initiatives to establish in the global shipping industry.
At the same time, during her visit to Athens, the Deputy Minister, accompanied by officials from the Deputy Ministry of Shipping, held meetings with shipping companies and shipowners in the context of continuous information and consultation with the shipping community, while she attended events organized by shipping companies, organizations and Embassies, on the margins of the exhibition.
On June 6, the Deputy Minister of Shipping participated in an event on the subject of 'The challenges of shipping', organized by the maritime newspaper 'Akti Miaouli' under the auspices of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy of Greece. The Minister of Shipping of Greece, Mr. Christos Stylianidis, the President of the Eugenides Foundation and Goodwill Ambassador of the IMO, Mr. Leonidas Dimitriadis-Eugenidis, and the special advisor to the Prime Minister of Greece for Energy matters, Mr. Nikos Chafos, participated in the round table discussion with the Deputy Minister.
During the discussion, Mrs. Hadzimanolis mentioned, among other things, that Greece and Cyprus are two important shipping states and have an important role to play in addressing the challenges presented. He added that the cooperation in general between the countries, as well as the maritime community, should be part of a constructive framework and specific actions and synergies are being launched in this direction.

Finally, on June 5, the Deputy Minister of Shipping hosted a reception on the occasion of Poseidon 2024, which was attended by ship owners, executives of shipping companies, law and accounting offices, representatives of the media, as well as other partners of the Deputy Ministry of Shipping. The reception was graced by the presence of the Minister of Shipping of Greece, Mr. Christos Stylianidis.
