A team of Franman employees, led by CEO, Costis J. Frangoulis, and three little friends, Kyriaki, Kykkos and Alexandra cleaned the pine forest coast in Schinias on Sunday, 4 October 2020.
This voluntary action is another proof of Franman's high sensitivity to environmental issues, and highlights the sense of individual responsibility which runs through the company.
“Franman is characterized by a love of the sea,” said Mr. Frangoulis. “It was with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we accepted the invitation of Helmepa to symbolically clean a Greek beach. A group of volunteers gathered together in Schinias. After being divided into 3 groups and following every necessary protective measure regarding Covid 19, we cleaned the beach in front of the pine forest of Schinias. The joy and satisfaction we felt was so great that I urge you to register for the HELMEPA program and help spread the message - no garbage, no plastic in the seas.”
The Global Voluntary Coastal Clean-up takes place every autumn. It is an initiative of the NGO, Ocean Conservancy, coordinated by HELMEPA in Greece.
