Crucial is the contribution of shipping to the National Health System of Greece, to the doctors and nursing staff who are fighting for many months to tackle the pandemic on the front lines.
With the participation of 151 donors, 13.1 million Euros were raised and until now more than 55 Hospitals and Reference Laboratories have been strengthened in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Larissa, Ioannina and other cities across the country.
Also, the important work performed by the officers of the Greek Police, the Coast Guard and the Fire Brigade for the protection of public health has been strengthened, with the continuous provision of personal protection items and consumables.
In addition, SYN-ENOSIS responded to the request of the Ministry of Education to strengthen distance education and offered 5,000 tablets to meet the needs of students and teachers across the country.
These actions, in the middle of this unprecedented circumstance, include the recent decision to donate 20 fully equipped ambulances to the National Emergency Center (EKAB) and 2 to the Greek Police.
It is worth noting that the first EKAB ambulance with negative pressure system in Greece for the safe transport of patients Covid19 was offered by SYN-ENOSIS.
