Cyprus Shipping Chamber meets members of EU parliament

Within the framework of its close and continuous cooperation with the Cyprus State Representation at the European Union, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber

hosted a luncheon today to Cyprus Members of European Parliament at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia.

During the luncheon, Members of the Board of Directors of the Shipping Chamber were provided with the opportunity to brief the Cyprus MEPs about the current issues and problems that affect the Cyprus Shipping Industry with particular focus and a more in-depth discussion with regard to the Turkish Embargo on Cyprus ships as well as other technical and environmental issues related to Shipping.

The Cyprus MEPs expressed their support and re-affirmed the importance that is attributed to Cyprus Shipping and stressed that all efforts are being made at European parliament level towards a quick and effective solution to the problems faced by the Shipping Industry, especially those related to the European Union.
