Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS), through its collective social agency "SYN-ENOSIS", and with the touching response of the members of the maritime family, has worked in close cooperation with the state for the necessary equipment for the strengthening of hospitals, doctors and nurses struggling to cope with this unprecedented situation.
Until today, UGS has provided 335 ICU respirators, 20 handheld respirators, 100 Monitors and 100 ICU hospital beds and significant supplies for Intensive Care Units.

Mr Theodoros Veniamis, President of UGS and SYN-ENOSIS, said: "I would like to thank all the members of our shipping family who have passionately embraced the initiative of the UGS and are responding immediately making our shipping to be a helper to our society and our fellow citizens, while remaining committed to the timeless high humanitarian values of social solidarity and offer.
